Steel Plate Stroke Polisher

Steel Plate Stroke Polisher: In-Use Demo M08075

Steel Plate Stroke Polisher

The project consists to build an automated stroke polisher for metal sheet. The operator loads the sheet over a fix table using handling devices not provided with the equipment (crane, forklift, etc), sets the height of the stroke sander head depending on the thickness of material and activates the polishing cycle. Then the polisher machine moves over the sheet to the starting position and the polishing pad carriage starts to stroke along the length axis of the sheet. As the polishing carriage continues the stroke, the polisher moves laterally along the width axis of the sheet to polish the full surface. The operator applies or relieves pressure on the pad carriage, using an arm link bar, as the pad carriage moves over the surface of the piece. When the piece is completely polished, the machine and carriage return to home position and wait for the next cycle to start.
