The 3M™ Diamond Lapping Film 669X product range includes numerous Diamond Lapping Film sheets, discs and rolls. Diamond Lapping Film products are fine grinding tools that are used in conjunction with a non-compressible polyester backing and achieve a very fine and reproducible surface with the diamond abrasive grain. Diamond is used as an abrasive grain in these films. The Diamond Lapping Film products are therefore ideal for processing very hard materials and other materials that are difficult to process due to their hardness, such as: hard metals, coatings, ceramics, glass, etc. All diamond lapping films should be used “wet”. Water, emulsion or other commercially available coolants can be used as grinding aids.
